As part of my professional development I’ve been part of a supervison group for more than 7 years. This group is run by Isobel Cosgrove – I was honoured to speak to her on the Qiological Podcast (https://www.qiological.com/qiological-audio-journal-winter-2021-qaj003/) about her journey into acupuncture and the importance of introducing supervision.
Isobel has such an interesting story as to how she came to acupuncture. She also talks openly about what it has been like over the years in getting supervision recognised as an important part of our profession. I have been working with Isobel for more than 6 years and she has always been so encouraging and supportive for new practitioners and helping us to support ourselves so that we can support our patients.
I completed the training with Isobel & Sally Cosgrove earlier in 2021 to be able to offer supervision and mentoring to other acupuncturists or health professionals. The training itself and practising with others both 1:1 and in groups over the last 18months has enriched my practice enourmously.
